Swara Bhasker was last seen in the Netflix’s series Bhaag Beanie Bhaag.
She won the best-supporting actress award for Sheer Qorma (a same-sex love story) at the Soho London Independent Film Festival!
Like her work front, she is ready for some big changes in her personal life as well. The Veere Di Wedding actress is currently single and is keen to embrace motherhood through adoption!
Swara revealed to Midday that she has started the legal process and is registered as a Prospective Adoptive Parent with the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA).
She’s currently on the waiting list for same. A recent visit to an orphanage in Badaun helped solidify her decision to adopt.
“I’ve always wanted a family and children. I realised that adoption was a way to marry these things. Luckily in India, the State allows single women to adopt. I met many couples who have adopted children, met some children who were adopted and are now almost adults. I read up on the process and experience.”
Swara concluded by saying her parents are fully supportive of her decision. Even though the waiting period can be long, Swara says she cannot wait to be a parent! Kudos to her for choosing adoption and may her journey start soon!
