Last seen in Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee Pannu’s next is also a sports drama film.
Titled ‘Shabaash Mithu’ – the biopic of the celebrated cricketer Mithali Raj is directed by Srijit Mukherji.
A coming-of-age tale of women’s cricket in India, the film will showcase the highs, lows, and setbacks experienced by Mithali.
The ever-diligent Taapsee had trained under Nooshin Al Khadeer, a former cricket player and Mithali Raj’s friend for the film prep. Today on the occasion of Mithali Raj’s birthday, the makers revealed when Shabaash Mithu will be releasing.

Looks like the biopic will be clashing at the box office with Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar’s comedy-drama ‘Badhaai Do’ (Badhaai Ho sequel) which is also arriving on the same date!
