Along with his OTT debut with Raj & DK series, Shahid Kapoor also has an action-packed film with Ali Abbas Zafar.
Tentatively titled ‘Bloody Daddy’, it is said to be the Hindi remake of the French thriller flick ‘Nuit Blanche’ (Sleepless Nights).
Shahid will be seen as a cop who tries to save his daughter from the clutches of a mafia, and hence the apt title! Per previous reports, Bhumi Pednekar was allegedly roped in as the female lead. But Katrina Kaif’s name also seems to be doing the rounds.
While initially it was being reported that the film is being made for Netflix release, latest Pinkvilla report begs to differ. It will release in latter half of 2022.
“Ever since the beginning, the Ali Abbas Zafar and Shahid Kapoor project has been conceptualized as a big scale action thriller for the cinema halls. All the stakeholders believe that an action thriller like this has a massive theatrical audience, and this combo of Ali with Shahid will create the right amount of noise,” a source revealed.
In fact, the portal went on to say that the film might be further taken to the level of a franchise like Taken.
Meanwhile, Shahid is awaiting the release of ‘Jersey’ – in cinemas on December 31, 2021. He will also star in ‘Bull’ – based on Brigadier Bulsara who led Operation Cactus in the Maldives.
