Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for his upcoming theatre release – ‘Jersey’.
Co-starring Mrunal Thakur & Pankaj Kapur, the upcoming sports drama is the Hindi remake of the 2018 blockbuster Telugu movie of the same name.
The Hindi adaptation is directed by Gowtam Tiannuri who helmed the Telugu original as well.
Shahid Kapoor plays the role of a cricketer in this film and had to undergo intense and rigorous training to get into the skin of his character. While shooting one of the sequences, the actor had suffered a horrendous lip injury that put him out of action for a few weeks before returning back to the sets.
Shahid recently shared a BTS video, where he revealed that he had to get 25 STITCHES for his lip injury. The actor took to Instagram and captioned it, “This one has my BLOOD. #JerseyOfDreams”
