‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ actress Bhagyashree‘s son Abhimanyu Dassani is gradually carving his own niche in Bollywood.
And now, Bhagyashree’s younger daughter Avantika Dassani is all set to enter the the showbiz industry soon.
Avantika is making her much-anticipated acting debut opposite Huma Qureshi in the upcoming Zee5 series titled ‘Mithya’.
Directed by filmmaker Rohan Sippy, the psychological thriller series also features Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Samir Soni, Indraneil Sengupta amongst others in pivotal roles.
Set in Darjeeling, the six-part series reportedly showcases the conflicted relationships between a Hindi literature professor Juhi (played by Huma Qureshi) and her student Rhea (played by Avantika Dassani).
For the unversed, ‘Mithya’ is the Indian adaptation of the 2019 British series – ‘Cheat’.
The official logline of ‘Mithya’ reportedly reads, “What sparks off as a classroom conflict, soon spirals out of control, triggering adverse psychological combat between the two women leading to fatal consequences and shocking revelations.”
