For the unversed, a ‘joota chupai’ ritual in Indian wedding is when the bride’s sisters steal the groom’s shoes and hide them away till the groom pays a hefty sum for them!
Alia-Ranbir’s joota chupai promises to be a wild ride indeed – if this HT report is to be believed, then RK is willing to shell out a whopping amount of 1 LAKH for the rasam! Crazy indeed, isn’t it?
A source further revealed to the portal, that there won’t be a separate sangeet function allegedly… the couple will just dance-off at the Mehendi ceremony. The wedding venue is the Vastu building in Bandra.
“Even the photographers are someone Grishma (Shah, Alia’s manager) and Alia have chosen, who have not done any celeb weddings yet. As for the mandap, a female set designer has been brought on board,” the source concluded.
