Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, will be making his Bollywood debut NOT as an actor, but director.
Earlier, it was reported that the 23-year-old star kid would be directing a web series for Amazon Prime Video.
As per previous reports, Aryan was rumoured to have already done a look test for the said thriller show, which revolved around the life of a die-hard fan.
However, the latest reports state otherwise. If this Peeping Moon report is to be believed, Aryan is NOT making his directorial debut anytime soon. As the report further suggests, the OTT giant has allegedly declined Aryan’s pitch.
“Contrary to rumours, Aryan Khan is not doing any web series for Amazon Prime Video. Yes, he had pitched us something where he wanted to be the showrunner. However, we politely parked the project.”
– a source revealed to the portal.
As per reports, Aryan is developing various projects with the writer’s team at his father’s production house – Red Chillies Entertainment. Reportedly, he hasn’t zeroed down on any project yet.
“Aryan is too young to call the shots. He’s currently focusing on learning and understanding the process of filmmaking before going behind the camera, and is simultaneously writing scripts that he wants to direct when he is ready. He’s a fast learner and will hopefully kickstart his debut project early next year,” the source added.
On the other hand, Aryan’s sister Suhana Khan is making her debut in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming Netflix movie – The Archies.
