Amazon Prime Video‘s Panchayat Season 2 series trailer was finally dropped yesterday (May 9).
Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the new season of the much-loved series will take on a roller coaster ride of laughter and happiness.
Starring Jitendra Kumar in the lead, the show also stars Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, amongts others, in pivotal roles.
For the unversed, Panchayat is a comedy-drama, which captures the journey of an engineering graduate Abhishek, who for lack of a better job option joins as secretary of a panchayat office in a remote village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh.
Stuck between crazy villagers & a difficult village lifestyle Abhishek starts his job with the sole motivation of getting out of there as soon as possible, for which he even prepares for CAT.
The official synopsis of the new season reads – “With newer issues plaguing the villagers, how will Abhishek manage to balance it all and let the right prevail? Peppered with slice of life moments and ample doses of humour, Panchayat Season 2 promises to captivate audiences just like the first one.”
