Salman Khan’s brother-actor-producer Sohail Khan and his wife-designer Seema Khan have officially filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage.
The couple was spotted leaving the family court in Mumbai on Friday (May 13).
A source revealed to ETimes, “Sohail Khan and Seema Sachdev were present in the court today. They have filed for a divorce. Both were friendly towards each other.”
Sohail-Seema got married in 1998 and have two children together – Nirvan Khan and Yohan Khan. The couple welcomed their first child (son – Nirvan) in 2000 and they welcomed their second son Yohan via surrogacy in June 2011.
Reportedly, Sohail and Seema have been living separately for quite a few years now. In the show The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Seema and Sohail were seen living separately and their kids were shuttling between the two houses.
Talking about her marriage with Sohail, Seema said in the show, “It’s just that sometimes when you grow older, your relationships meanders and goes into different directions. I make no apologies about it because we are happy and my kids are happy. Sohail and I are not a conventional marriage but we are a family. We are a unit. For us, him and me and our children matter at the end of the day.”
