Major – starring Adivi Sesh in the lead – hit theatres on June 3, 2022.
The movie is inspired by the life of the late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who was martyred during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the biographical action-drama also stars Prakash Raj, Saiee Manjrekar, Revathi, Sobhita Dhulipala and Murali Sharma in pivotal roles.
Adivi Sesh, who went under the skin of Sandeep Unnikrishnan, has been receiving rave reviews for his performance in Major. The movie has been released in three languages – Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam.

Major has opened to a box office collection of Rs 13.4 crores on its opening day. Sourced from a report, Major collected Rs 12 CRORES on Saturday (Day 2) at the global box office.
