2) Kashmir Files
A film that one wouldn’t conventionally expect to fare well but took the box office by storm, The Kashmir Files, became the subject of heated discussion with the audiences. It was based on the horrifying exodus of Kashmiri Pandits following insurgency in Kashmir in 1990.
3) Major
Based on the life of 26/11 hero Sandeep Unnikrishnan, ‘Major’ has won people’s hearts and the South heartthrob Adivi Sesh seems to be a clear audience favourite in Bollywood as well! Did you know Adivi Sesh also wrote the film apart from playing the lead?
Major achieved an extremely rare feat and also became the only Indian film this year to witness almost 100% growth at the box office on its very first weekend.
