The Atlee Kumar-directed film’s new schedule begins today in Chennai, and joining Deepika Padukone, who plays his wife in the film will soon be joining him on the sets.
A report says, “Deepika plays a special cameo role which features in the film’s flashback sequences. It’s a short but very important role, and Deepika has allotted five days to shoot her sequence. SRK and Deepika have already arrived in Chennai and will start shooting from today.”
While Deepika joins the sets today, Vijay Sethupathi, who plays the lead antagonist, will commence shooting later this month. Nayanthara, Priyamani, and Yogi Babu are also expected to join the sets in the days to come. “It’s over a month long, ambitious shooting schedule for which Atlee and his team have been working on for months. It involves shooting most of the crucial dramatic and action sequences of the film, and everyone from the cast and crew is excited to kick off this new hectic but thrilling shooting leg,” the source further said.
Billed as a Pan-India spectacle made on a whopping budget of around 200 crores, Jawan is a commercial action entertainer.
