As per the sites on the Internet, her birthdate is shown to be 1st Feb 2010. It was being rumoured that Riva was 12 and had featured in a romantic video with Karan Kundra. The reel showed Riva as a cheating girlfriend, posing with a drink in her hand.
Netizens were furious to see the young actress participate in a video about infidelity, believing her to be too young for adult themes like that.

The matter flared up like wildfire on social media recently. Her mother Nisha Arora, who is a Supreme Court lawyer, has reacted to the whole controversy now. She has revealed that allegations on her daughter’s age are false, and that she’s in 10th grade.
“It’s unfortunate to see renowned publications are spreading false information about a young girl without any verifications. My daughter is currently in the 10th grade. She has been working in the industry for more than 13 years and has achieved everything with utmost integrity and perseverance.” Nisha told India Forums.
