The Pawan Kripalani directorial is scheduled for a direct-to-OTT premiere on Disney+Hotstar, skipping theatre release.
As per Peeping Moon, the makers are eyeing a January 2023 release though the exact date hasn’t been locked in yet.
“Gaslight is a psychological thriller with a strikingly unconventional plot, which might not be of interest to theater-going audiences. This genre of movies has worked better on OTT than in cinemas in the past, and hence the makers have decided to give it a digital release as that would give the film a better reach besides the financial safety that comes with it,” a source revealed to the portal.
Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming movies line-up includes Metro In Dino with Aditya Roy Kapur and a social rom-com with Vicky Kaushal. She will also be seen in the patriotic actioner Ae Watan Mere Watan.
