The blockbuster Gadar Ek Prem Katha is returning with a sequel soon this year.
Read on for Gadar 2 Release Date Updates – as per recent reports, it is scheduled to clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal movie.
A source told Pinkvilla that Gadar 2 is targeting the Independence Day weekend and will arrive in theatres on 11 August 2023.
“It’s going to be Sunny Deol vs Bobby Deol at the box office this Independence Day. While both the films are big scale saga’s appealing to the masses, the period is big enough to accommodate both of them. Even Gadar: Ek Prem Katha had clashed with Lagaan at the box office, and the history will repeat itself for Gadar 2,” they said.
What Is Gadar 2 Plot?
“Gadar was an epic love story of Tara Singh and Sakeena during the partition era. With the sequel, the makers are taking a 24-year leap, as the story unfolds in the times of the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. While Tara Singh was in Pakistan to get Sakeena back in Gadar, this time around, he will be going to Pakistan in the midst of this turbulent war, to save his son, Jeete,” a source had revealed in a previous report.
