Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film Pathaan created history at the box office upon its release.
The film had already crossed 50 crores in advance sales and now it holds the record of being the biggest opener among Hindi films.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh’s report, the film raked in a whopping 55 crore opening collection! It has beaten the likes of KGF 2 (Hindi) – 53.95 crores, War – 51.60 crores, and Thugs of Hindostan which was 50.75 crores.
Pathaan is the story of an intelligence agent tasked with dealing with a new terror threat. A criminal mastermind who is an ex-RAW agent is threatening to unleash the ‘Raktbeej’ virus in India. An ISI agent teams up with Pathaan to help him in the mission.
