As per recent reports, KGF star Yash has been approached to star in Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of Ramayana movie.
Ranbir Kapoor was rumoured to star as Lord Ram in this film. Yash is allegedly in talks to play Raavan.
“Yash is mighty impressed with the pre-visualisation of the film and has been doing meetings with the team of Ramayana. He will be taking a call on his immediate next film within the next 2 months,” a source told Pinkvilla.
As per Bollywood Hungama report , Hrithik Roshan was initially supposed to play Raavan but he backed out. A source said – “Hrithik Roshan doesn’t want to play back-to-back negative roles. While he loved the script of Ramayan, he wants to be the hero now, as fans love him as a hero over a villain.”
The rumours also said that Ranbir was waiting for cast updates before finalizing any call. The project is likely to go on floors in Summer 2023 if all goes as planned. The fantasy film is being produced by Madhu Mantena with Allu Aravind.
