Celebrated filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar died at age 67 today.
Sarkar, who directed films like ‘Parineeta’, ‘Helicopter Eela’, and ‘Mardaani’, has been the recipient of multiple awards.
At 53rd National Film Awards, Parineeta won Best Debut Film of a Director. Pradeep also received the Filmfare Award for Best Art Direction and Zee Cine Award for Most Promising Director for Parineeta.
Moreover, in the advertising space, Pradeep won the prestigious Abby Award and Rapa Award too. Apart from movies and ads, he had also tried his hand at directing web series like Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala, Arranged Marriage, Forbidden Love, and Duranga.
