The RHTDM actor’s heart swelled his pride to see Vedaant winning big at the Malaysia Invitational Age Group Championships 2023. Sharing the big news, Madhavan shared a couple of pictures of his son from the event.

In one of the pictures, Vedaant was seen draped in a tri-colour as he stood tall and posed with his medals. In the caption, the actor wrote –“With God’s grace and all your good wishes Vedaant gets 5 golds for India ( 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, and 1500m) with 2 PBs at the Malaysian invitational age group championships, 2023 held this weekend in Kuala Lumpur. Elated and very grateful.”

Well… This is not the first time Madhavan’s son has won medals for India in swimming tournaments, making the country proud. With plenty wins and medals in his kitty, Vedaant has created a name for himself, far away from the world of movies. He is currently preparing for Olympics 2026.

In February this year, Vedaant had represented team Maharashtra at the Khelo India 2023 tournament and bagged 5 gold medals (100m, 200m and 1500m) and 2 silver medals (400m and 800m) for swimming.

Last year in April, Vedaant bagged a gold medal at the Danish Open swimming meet 2022 in Denmark’s Copenhagen, days after he won a silver medal in another category at the same meet.

Last year, he also bagged 4 silver medals (800 metres freestyle, 1500m freestyle, 4×100 freestyle relay and 4×200 freestyle relay) and 3 bronze medals (100m freestyle, 200m freestyle and 400m freestyle) and broke 1500m junior national record at the 2022 Junior National Aquatic Championships.

Back in 2021, Vedaant won a bronze medal in the 1500m freestyle at the Lativa Open international meet.

In 2019, Vedant officially represented India for the first time at Asian Age Group Swimming Championship and bagged silver along with his teammates.

His winning streak on a global level started in 2018 at the Thailand Age Group Championship, where he brought home a bronze medal in the 1500m freestyle. Later, Vedant also won bronze in the 1500m freestyle at the Khelo India Youth Games 2020.
