Janhvi Kapoor made her debut in Dhadak – which was a remake of the hit Marathi film Sairat.
Dhadak went on to cross 110 crores at the box office. Recently, reports went viral that Dhadak 2 was in the making.
It was being reported that the sequel will star Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi and would be helmed by debutant director Shazia Iqbal. Karan Johar was rumoured to produce this love story.

However, earlier today, Karan Johar took to Instagram to clarify that DHARMA PRODUCTIONS IS NOT making a film titled Dhadak 2. Is the sequel going to be bankrolled by someone else? Let’s wait and watch!
Tripti Dimri will next be seen in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Siddhant Chaturvedi, on the other hand, has Kho Gaye Hum Kahan and Yudhra.
