Directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, Dahaad also stars Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah in key roles.
In the series, Sonakshi will be seen as a fearless sub-inpector Anjali Bhaati who is on a hunt to nab a serieal killer accused of murdering 27 women.
After Darlings, Vijay is back as the antagonist once again. In this series, he will be seen as a simple married man who also teaches in a college. Gulshan and Sohum join Sonakshi as her colleagues to solve the murder mystery.
The 8-episode crime-drama series – produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby – will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
Dahaad Synopsis:
“When a series of women are found dead in public bathrooms under mysterious circumstances, Sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati is tasked with leading the investigation. As the case unravels she begins to suspect that the seemingly clear-cut suicides may be the work of a serial killer on the loose, triggering a riveting game of cat and mouse between a seasoned criminal and an underdog cop.”
