Storyline:

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai Movie

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is based on the real events of the 2013 Asaram Bapu rape case, wherein the self-styled Godman was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping a minor girl in his Ashram.Manoj Bajpayee plays advocate P. C. Solanki, who fought a long 5-year courtroom battle to ensure the minor girl got justice.

One fateful night Nu (Adrija) a 16-year old minor girl is sexually assaulted by Baba (Surya Mohan Kulshrestha). The case against the politically-connected godman is registered under POCSO act (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) and chaos ensues.

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is an excellent watch from start to finish. The pacing is neat and engaging, the story told with sensitivity. The courtroom drama is realistic and thought-provoking. There is never a dull moment in the narrative.

Manoj Bajpayee has done a stellar job as the lawyer taking on the big wigs, facing off against imminent, life threatening danger in the process. From the stoic calmness, the despair at being terrorized by goons to making an impassioned plea for justice in the end…. Bajpayee brings out all the nuances of his character.

Adrija as the minor girl Nu does a good job of making you empathize with her character with her helplessness, anger and resilience. Even Vipin Sharma, who plays Baba’s defense counsel holds his own well in the courtroom scenes.

There is no over-the-top filler fluff, the story’s sole focus stays on the case and the battle for justice. Overall, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai definitely deserves to be watched and admired for Bajpayee’s acting.

Must watch! Streaming on Zee5. It deserved to be shown on the big screen.
