9) Chhichhore (2019)
Chhichhore marked SSR’s last theatrical release before his tragic demise in 2020. The coming-of-age comedy-drama featured an ensemble cast of Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey and Saharsh Kumar Shukla.
It was a huge hit for SSR indeed. As per reports, the film’s college sequence is reportedly inspired by Hostel 3’s and Hostel 4’s real-life rivalry for the GC in IIT Bombay.
10) Drive (2019)
Drive was the SSR’s last film before he died …it, unfortunately, didn’t release in theatres but landed directly on OTT – Netflix.
As per reports, Karan Johar wasn’t happy with the output and the VFX. Even after reshooting, KJO was dissatisfied and hence was reluctant to release it in cinemas.
11) Dil Bechara (2020)
Dil Bechara, which was the Hindi remake of The Fault in Our Stars, was released posthumously on Disney + Hotstar.
Fun fact – director Director Mukesh Chhabra revealed that Dil Bechara’s Title Track was SSR’s swansong. Farah Khan charged nothing for choreographing it and Sushant nailed the dance song in ONE TAKE. Impressive, indeed.
