Set in 1971, against the backdrop of the Crush India movement, Tara Singh is back with Gadar 2. In the brief teaser, a woman snidely says in the voiceover at the beginning – “Damaad hai woh Pakistan ka, isko nariyal doh, tika lagao, warna iss baar woh dahej mai Lahore le jayega.” A devastated Tara Singh looks on at the destruction around him.
