Akshay Kumar starrer The Great Indian Rescue movie finally gets a release date.
Based on the horrific 1989 Raniganj coal mine disaster in West Bengal, the film was previously titled Capsule Gill.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, The Great Indian Rescue stars Parineeti Chopra as the leading lady.
In this movie, Akshay plays the role of Jaswant Singh Gill – former chief mining engineer who saved 65 miners trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Raniganj of West Bengal in 1989.
Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor, the movie has been reportedly shot in Yorkshire last year.
