After the blockbuster success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan has two more biggies lined up for release this year.
And now, we hear that SRK-starrer Dunki has already cracked the biggest post-theatrical digital deal with an OTT platform.

If this report is to be believed, the digital rights of Dunki have been sold to JioCinema for Rs 155 CRORES! Yes, you read that right!
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie stars Taapsee Pannu as the female lead. As per reports, Vicky Kaushal is expected to make a cameo in Dunki. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on 22 December 2023!
“This is the biggest deal in the history of Indian Cinema for a film released in a single language. It has got a lot to do with the brand of Rajkumar Hirani coming together with the brand of Shah Rukh Khan. Two of India’s biggest global icons are coming together to create a film that is expected to create a global impact, which has in turn resulted in the biggest post-theatrical deal of all time.”

Reportedly, the idea behind this massive deal is to take the JioCinema platform to a global level to compete with its existing competitors like Netflix.
“Rs. 155 crores is a huge sum but the SRK x Hirani combo deserves this and a lot more. The amount fetched by Dunki is even higher than what Jawan fetched for the Hindi version from Netflix.”

Dunki is being produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Hirani.
On the other hand, SRK’s next, Jawan is set to drop its much-awaited trailer tomorrow, i.e., 10 July 2023 (Monday).
