Varun Dhawan will be seen in Jawan director Atlee‘s next, which has been tentatively titled VD18.
As per latest buzz, THIS South actress will make her big Bollywood debut with this film.
It was reported earlier that Varun will headline the Hindi remake of Atlee’s Tamil action-thriller Theri. The Hindi version of the action-thriller is being directed by by Kalees and will be produced by Atlee and Murad Khetani.
If this Pinkvilla report is to be believed, National Award-winning South actress Keerthy Suresh has been roped in to play the female lead in this movie.
“Keerthy was looking for certain elements in her Bollywood launch vehicle, and this Varun Dhawan film perfectly aligns with her preferences. She will portray a strong and glamorous character in this commercial flick filled with emotions, drama, and action. Keerthy won hearts with her terrific performance in films like Mahanati, Dasara, Maamannan to name a few.
VD18 is expected to go on floors on next month in Mumbai. The makers are aiming for a theatrical release next year – 31 May 2024.
Meanwhile, Varun is currently gearing up for the release of his next, Bawaal. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady.
The movie will have a direct-to-digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 21 July 2023!
