Daya Ben, one of the most-loved characters of the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been missing from the show for over 6 years now.
However, we hear that that Disha Vakani is now set to return as Daya Ben on the sitcom.
As Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah successfully completed 15 years on Indian TV recently, the producer Asit Kumarr Modi confirmed Daya’s comeback to the show.
For the unversed, Disha Vakani, who had played Daya Ben’s role for 10 years, took maternity break in 2017 and never returned.
Talking about it, Asit told the media –
“In this journey of 15 years, a hearty congratulations to all of them. One such artist is whom we cannot forget. That artist is Daya Bhabhi aka Disha Vakani. She has entertained the fans and also made us laugh for all these years. Fans have been waiting for her to come back and I promise you all that Disha Vakani will soon be back to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.”
Over the past few months, TMKOC has been creating negative waves after several actors, who have left the show, have spoke about the ill-treatment, harassment, payment issues and raised allegations against the producer.
Meanwhile, fans have been waiting patiently to see their favourite Daya Ben back on the show.
