Sunny Deol Gadar 2 2nd Weekend Box Office Collection has set a new record!
Gadar 2 made a whopping 90.47 CRORES on its 2nd weekend. It is being touted as the highest 2nd weekend of Hindi Cinema! It has even beaten Pathaan’s record of 63.50 Crores.
The Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel starrer has crossed 375.10 CRORES in India till now. It is an all-time blockbuster and how!
The Gadar sequel is directed by Anil Sharma, and it was released in theatres on 11 August 2023, clashing with Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated sequel OMG 2. Set against the backdrop of the ‘Crush India Movement’ of 1971, the sequel sees the return of Tara Singh, his Pakistani wife Sakina and their son Charanjit Singh aka Jeete.
Sunny Deol Gadar 2 Fee:
If reports are to be believed then Sunny has apparently been paid to the tune of Rs 20 crores – 30% more than his usual fees which is around Rs 5 – 6 crores – for this film. While Ameesha Patel got paid around Rs 2 crores for the film.
Border 2 Rumours?
After the spectacular success of the Gadar sequel, it was rumoured that Sunny Deol would revive the sequel of the 1997 blockbuster war drama – Border 2. However, he had taken to Instagram to clarify that signed anything yet and would announce at the right time!
He wrote, “Some news has been circulating of me signing a few films, I would like to inform that currently I am only concentrating on Gadar 2 and receiving all your love. I have not signed any film and would be announcing something special soon at the right time. Till then keep showering your love on Tara Singh and Gadar 2.”
