As per reports, in the thriller you can see that Akshay is playing the role of Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill in the Mission Raniganj movie and Parineeti Chopra will play the wife of Akshay Kumar in the movie.
The story of Mission Raniganj is based on a real-life incident in which one man saves the lives of helpless miners stuck in a coal mine in Raniganj, West Bengal, in 1989. In the trailer, you can see Akshay wearing a red turban with beard.
The trailer shows the 1989 real story, where 65 miners are trapped in underground tunnels. Akshay, who will be seen as Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill, tells seniors that the traditional extraction method won’t work, and he deploys an improvised capsule through a borewell. He bravely volunteers to head into the flooded pit and rescue the miners, going against all the odds.
