Bollywood critic Taran Adarsh revealed the 1st-day box office collection of this Bhumi Pednekar starrer and wrote, “#ThankYouForComing attracts its share of audience at urban centres, despite multiple films [new + holdover titles] to choose from… A good start, considering the smart release strategy [screen count: 550 / limited shows] and ‘A’ certificate… Fri ₹ 1.06 cr. #India biz.”
As per reports, ‘Thank You For Coming’ has been backed by Rhea Kapoor along with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures. What makes this film even more special is that it’s the only Hindi feature film selected for a grand gala world premiere at the 46th Toronto International Film Festival 2023 on September 15, 2023 at the prestigious Roy Thomson Hall. The film also received a standing ovation from the audience.
The story revolves around Kanika (Bhumi Pednekar) a 30-something woman who has never had an orgasm. From being Kuwari, Gandi, to Kaandi… Kanika is tired of all the labels society has been throwing her way.
The movie also stars Kusha Kapila, Shehnaaz Gill, Shibani Bedi, Dolly Singh, Karan Kundrra, and Anil Kapoor.
