And it’s confirmed! Deepika Padukone is the new lady cop in Singham Again movie.
The actress has finally entered Rohit Shetty‘s cop universe!
Previously, at the song launch of ‘Current Laga Re’ from Cirkus, Rohit confirmed Deepika Padukone as the Lady Singham in his next directorial.
“Kahi na kahi to pata chal hi jaega so I will tell now only. The next film that we are making is Singham from our cop universe. And everytime I am asked ‘Lady Singham kab aegi’ So Singham Again has a Lady Singh (while pointing towards Deepika Padukone). She is my lady cop from the cop universe. We are working on it next year,” he had said at the song launch.

On Sunday morning, Deepika shared her first look from Singham Again. She plays the role of a fierce lady cop, Shakti Shetty in the movie. She captioned her post –
“Introducing…Shakti Shetty! #SinghamAgain”
In the first-look, Deepika is suited up in the cop uniform with a gun in her hand. She is seen holding a bad guy with one hand and pointing the gun at his mouth while we can see blood on her forehead and shoulder.
Sharing the poster, Rohit wrote –

For the unversed, Singham Again recently went on floors in Hyderabad.
The movie stars Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Bajirao Singham with along with Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh as Sangram ‘Simmba’ Bhalerao. Kareena Kapoor Khan will also be seen in the cop drama.
