Aashiqui 3; Has Tara Sutaria not been cast opposite Kartik Aaryan?
Recently, rumours about the actress starring in Aashiqui 3 opposite Kartik Aaryan went viral. The speculation arose after the duo was spotted on a dinner date.
Aashiqui 3 – Tara Sutaria Is Not In The Movie?
However, Aashiqui 3 director Anurag Basu clarified that the female lead has not been finalised yet. As per HT report, the filmmaker commented –
“No, the female lead of the film has not been finalised yet. Everything out there is a speculation.”
Mukesh Bhatt Says Tara Sutaria Wasn’t In Consideration?
Producer Mukesh Bhatt also rubbished all reports about Tara Sutaria joining the Aashiqui sequel. He said that the news was absolutely nonsense and that Tara was not even in consideration for the role!
“She is not even in consideration. No girl will be considered for the role before my music is ready. The songs were the stars of Aashiqui. This franchise doesn’t need a star. We’re glad to have a star this time (Kartik). But the rest is entirely upto to the music,” Mukesh Bhatt commented.

Talking about Aashiqui 3, Kartik Aaryan had previously said – “The timeless classic ‘Aashiqui’ is something I grew up watching and working on ‘Aashiqui 3’ is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”
Meanwhile, Tara Sutaria recently announced the action thriller Apurva. It marks her first solo-led film. Her raw and gritty avatar in the intense poster took fans by surprise.

Talking about the other projects of Kartik Aaryan – he has been locked in for the horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Kartik is working with Kabir Khan for Chandu Champion as well. It is reportedly based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, a freestyle swimmer and India’s first Paralympic gold medalist.
