The young and beautiful Paro (Mrunal) has turned a marriageable age and is eagerly awaiting her Prince Charming. However, the problem of her severe night blindness is proving to be an obstacle.

Paro’s family is filled with misfits – a forgetful father (Paresh Rawal), a partially deaf older brother (Sharman Joshi) and their stuttering sibling (Abhishek Banerjee). Paro’s sister-in-law (Divya) finds out that she was tricked into marrying the older brother and is harbouring a grudge ever since.

Paro’s family manage to snag the dashing Rohit Patel (Abhimanyu) as a prospective groom for her. Hilarious shenanigans ensue as the eccentric family tries to keep Paro’s night blindness a secret from her to-be in-laws, before the marriage ceremony takes place.

But looks like the groom’s side has their own secrets to keep from surfacing. Meanwhile, Paro’s family has a rival in the flashy jeweller (Vijay Raaz), who is always causing trouble from the sidelines. Watch Aankh Micholi to see this chaos unfold!

Aankh Micholi Movie Review:

Abhimanyu Dassani
Abhimanyu Dassani

In spite of having a stellar cast – the comedy is hit-and-miss here. Most of the jokes don’t land and even the slapstick comedy seems awkward.

Occasionally, a few scenes might elicit some chuckles but that is because seasoned actors like Paresh Rawal and Vijay Raaz are masterful in their delivery. The material they’re given to work with never uses their potential fully.

Aankh Micholi Movie Review

Mrunal Thakur, who was a delight to watch in Sita Ramam, gives a solid enough performance but is wasted in this role. Abhimanyu Dassani’s comic timing is off in this comedy. His and Mrunal’s chemistry is subpar too.

Aankh Micholi Movie Review –

The hodgepodge plot and the lack of genuinely funny moments along with the emotionally hollow, half-baked climax, make Aankh Micholi a tedious watch.

Hit Or Miss:

In spite of having a good cast, this comedy falls flat and is a miss, unfortunately.
