A few months back, Ranveer Singh was officially announced to be headlining the Don sequel, directed by Farhan Akhtar.

A new era has indeed begun with Singh replacing Shah Rukh Khan in the iconic role. As per Koimoi report, Priyanka Chopra was also supposed to star in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa. However, since the project is on the back burner for now, her dates might be going for Don 3 instead.

A source said, “Farhan Akhtar is now prioritizing Don 3 over Jee Le Zara as the male cast of Jee Le Zara is yet to work out. He will now go ahead full-throttle with Don 3 with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.”
Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon’s names were doing the rounds for the female lead but looks like Priyanka Chopra is still the top contender.
Title Announcement –
The stylish title announcement video showed off a suave, badass Ranveer Singh. This Don sequel has been produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, who has also contributed to writing and directing it. Farhan shares the story credits with Pushkar and Gayatri. The music will be handled by Shankar Ehsaan Loy with lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
“We hope that you will show him the love you have so graciously and generously shown to Mr Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. A new era of Don begins in 2025,” Farhan had previously stated.
Don 2, which released in 2011, was a blockbuster hit…. raking in a whopping 203 crore collection! The 1st part of SRK’s Don (2006) had crossed 106 crores at the box office.
