Merry Christmas trailer starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead dropped today. The crime romance is directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani of Tips Films, Sanjay Routray and Kewal Garg.

Going by the trailer of the film, Raghavan has put his signature spin to the traditional structure of romance, as suspense, seduction and surprise await the audience. A simple chance meeting becomes a full-blown obsession between two strangers which goes on to have increasingly dangerous consequences. The treatment of the bilingual film is very much in the neo-noir zone, something that has not been attempted on the big screen before.
This dark romantic crime thriller will surely leave you with butterflies in your stomach.
Merry Christmas has been filmed in both Hindi and Tamil. The Hindi version additionally boasts talents like Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil version has stalwarts like Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kavin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams. Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar have special cameos in both versions.
Merry Christmas Release Date:
The film is set to release in cinemas on January 12, 2024.
Talking about working Sriram Raghavan, Katrina commented –
“Working with Sriram Raghavan was one of my dreams. Again, as I said, really really fortunate that I got that chance. It just kind of came. And, phenomenal director to work with; Incredible mind; Completely different school. When you are on that set, it’s a completely different world. He is such an incredible collaborator, as a human being, as a person, as a filmmaker. I told him, ‘Sir, on-camera, I have never cried so much. Off-camera, on the sets, I have never cried so much’. Because it was such an intense process, but a wonderful one. A wonderful process.”
