Who is Ajay Devgn movie Raid 2 female lead?
The sequel to Devgn’s 2018 blockbuster was announced recently.
Ajay Devgn Raid 2 movie is set to get a sequel. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the sequel went on floors on 6th Jan in Mumbai. The film will be shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
Based on yet another true case of the Income Tax Department, Devgn will reprise his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik.
Raid 2 Female Lead; Ileana D’Cruz Replaced:
Vaani Kapoor has joined Raid 2 as the female lead. As per Peeping Moon, she will be seen as Devgn’s wife in this crime-drama sequel.
Sharing a picture form the Mahurat, the actress captioned it –
“Raid-ing on the big screen soon! So grateful ❤️ #Raid2 Muharat Shot. See you in cinemas on 15th November, 2024”
Vaani’s post also features Ravi Teja, who gave the ‘mahurat clap’ for the film.
For the unversed, Ileana D’Cruz had played the role of Devgn’s wife in the first part, which was based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the IT department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s which distinguished itself from others for being the longest raid in Indian history, lasting three days and two nights.
