Ishq Vishk Rebound – one of the most-awaited releases of this year – finally gets a release date!
The new-age film is the sequel to Shahid Kapoor-Amrita Rao’s 2003 blockbuster.
Ishq Vishk Rebound offers a modern and relatable take on relationships in millennials and Gen-Z generation. The film features a fresh young cast – Rohit Saraf, Pahsmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal in the lead.
Directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, the film is produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani.
With the anticipation around the new cast and storyline, everyone is waiting for the classic romantic sequel to watch on big screens.
On Friday (February 16), the actors shared the official release date of the new-age rom-com. The movie marks Rohit and Jibraan’s debut as the male lead and Pashmina’s (Hrithik Roshan’s cousin) Bollywood debut.

The official announcement post reads, “Ishq Vishk mein confusion ho sakta hai, lekin yeh announcement ekdam clear hai. #IshqVishkRebound #PyaarKaSecondRound in theatres on 28th June.”
During an interview, Rohit had shared his excitement about the sequel and clarified that he is not stepping into anybody’s shoes. He said –
“I am not stepping into Shahid (Kapoor)’s shoes. The only thing that the two films, Ishq Vishk and Ishq Vishk Rebound hold in common is just the name. It is the franchise which is common”
“I am actually very excited. Nervousness comes in just before a project is about to drop but before that there is just tonne and tonne of excitement. I am really looking forward to it. I feel like it is something that audiences will enjoy, my audience will enjoy,” he added.
