Rudra’s wife Aahana (Manushi) who also happens to be his Wing Commander is frustrated with his stubborn nature and his defiance of orders. But his daredevilry comes in handy afterall.

Operation Valentine Movie Review

Operation Valentine makes for a decent enough watch. But since this aerial actioner comes right after Fighter and Article 370, some parallels are inevitably drawn – and certain events like the Pulwama attack have been done better by the preceding movies.

But unlike Fighter, Operation Valentine is low on jingoism and plays it safe. However, it ends up being a rather generic fare and fails to be emotionally rousing. The VFX is mostly passable but shoddy in places.

Operation Valentine Movie Review:

Varun Tej looks absolutely dashing as an IAF pilot and has the charisma needed for the role. Manushi Chhillar too gives a decent performance. They both are convincing as Air Force officers. But their chemistry together works only in the emotional scenes, where Manushi’s character is frustrated at her husband’s stubbornness. Otherwise, it is lacklustre. Ruhani Sharma has a snazzy screen presence but is underutilised in the film.

While it’s far from a snoozefest, the 1st half feels very routine. The fights in the 2nd half make up for the lethargy of the 1st half. The aerial combat sequences in the climax are pretty cool!

Hit Or Miss:

While Operation Valentine isn’t anything groundbreaking, it’s worth watching once for the aerial action scenes!
