Amitabh Bachchan Hospitalized; Undergoes Angioplasty –

As per reports, Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai under tight security in the early hours of Friday, March 15.

According to TOI, an angioplasty was performed on a clot in Big B’s leg and NOT on his heart.

“Treated for peripheral, and not coronary heart.”

Another report by The Indian Express said that “doctors at Kokilaben Hospital confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan underwent an angioplasty” at the hospital early Friday.

Reportedly, the actor has been discharged from the hospital. As official statement from the hospital or from the family has not been released yet.

Earlier today, following the news of his hospitalization, Bachchan took to X (formerly Twitter) and expressed his gratitude.

The tweet read, “T 4950 – in gratitude ever ..”

Earlier this year, the Piku actor had a surgery for a wrist injury, which he suffered while shooting the film Kalki 2898 AD in Hyderabad last year.

On the work front, Big has a string of interesting projects lined up ahead of him. He has Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi futuristic-actioner Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan, a courtroom drama titled Section 84 with Diana Penty.

He also also reunited with megastar Rajinikanth after 32 years for Thalaivar 170. The 81-year-old is also supposed to reunite with Deepika Padukone for The Intern Hindi remake. However, the film is yet to go on floors.
