Madhubala Biopic to be directed by Darlings director Jasmeet K. Reen!
Today, the filmmaker took to her Instagram to share the exciting update. The film will be produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Jasmeet wrote – “An exciting new journey with some wonderful people begins, grateful 🙏♥️🙏”
Sony Pictures International Productions and Brewing Thoughts Pvt Ltd will be bankrolling and distributing the film, which will be co-produced by Madhubala’s sister Madhur Bhushan under the banner Madhubala Ventures.
The project is reportedly going on floors this Summer. Updates about the casting of this legendary role are eagerly awaited.
Madhubala, fondly labelled as the Venus of Indian Cinema, died at the tender age of 36. She has starred in films like the Mughal-e-Azam, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Half Ticket and many more.
