3 friends – Dodo (Divyendu), Pinku (Pratik), Ayush (Avinash) have been yearning to make their Goa trip happen since childhood, but something or the other always falls short.

Life happens and the trio go their separate ways – with Pinku in Cape Town, Ayush in New York and Dodo stuck in a rut of dead-end jobs in Mumbai. Years later when the team reunites, Dodo is determined to make the Goa trip a reality.

The comedy kicks off when Pinku mistakenly grabs a bag brimming with cash and guns while boarding the Madgaon Express. This innocent blunder catapults them into a world of drugs and the ongoing rivalry of an estranged gangster couple – the intimidating Mendoza Bhai (Upendra Limaye) and his equally unhinged wife Kanchan Kombdi (Chhaya Kadam).

Don’t miss Madgaon Express as it unravels the hilarious chaos of this hellish Goa trip in a whirlwind of outrageous escapades!

Madgaon Express is a TOTAL LAUGH RIOT from start to finish. Kunal Khemu has absolutely knocked it out of the park with his directorial debut! This outrageous comedy is like a blend of The Hangover, Dhamaal and Golmaal!

The cast is stellar with great comic timing and a fun-filled chemistry. Divyendu Sharma owns the film with a powerhouse performance as the delulu, pathological liar, smartass clown. The man will just not miss! He acts with gusto, bringing a manic energy to the character.

Divyendu has brought the house down with his one-liners, constant repartee and high jinks. Pratik Gandhi gets a meaty role as the neurotic, pill-popping Gujju who transforms into a savage badass after getting drenched with cocaine.

Madgaon Express Movie Review

Gandhi excels with his slapstick comedy bits – his drug-fuelled action sequences are a HOOT, and his transition from meek to furious is seamless. Avinash Tiwary balances the chaos in the group as the charming, handsome hunk and the voice of reason. Compared to the other two, he gets the short end of the stick here, but he’s given a competent performance.

Madgaon Express is a tightly written, fast-paced comedy with outlandish wacky scenes, that doesn’t take itself seriously. The trio’s camaraderie is refreshing – and we get quite a few heartfelt, emotional scenes in the middle of this hilarious comedy.

Upendra Limaye and Chhaya Kadam as the estranged mobster couple turned enemies are insanely funny. Watch out for Kunal Khemu’s surprise, cheeky cameo!

My only gripe with the film is that the random songs break the momentum (they’re done for a running gag with Nora Fatehi but it doesn’t quite land) but otherwise, it’s a solid entertainer. Nora Fatehi brings the glam factor to the project. Her comic timing is decent but she’s still outmatched by the sheer energy of the main trio.

I seriously don’t remember the last time I laughed this much in the theatres!

Hit Or Miss:

Total hit! Go watch in the theatres for some much-needed laughter therapy! It’s a Paisa wasool movie!
