Storyline:
Kartik Aaryan stars in the titular role as the awe-inspiring Murlikant Petkar. For the unversed, Murlikant was India’s first Paralympic gold medalist!
Chandu Champion explores the legend’s journey from being a free-spirited, determined kid to bagging India’s first-ever Paralympic gold medal for the 50 m freestyle swimming!
Starting off with wrestling, becoming a member of the Indian Army, acing boxing to facing a debilitating injury in War that threatens it all; Murlikant takes on life’s curveballs with ferocity. The film delves into how this incredible man brought pride to India, while grappling adversities of all kinds with a ‘Never-quit’ attitude.
Vijay Raaz appears in an important role as Petkar’s mentor, while Bhuvan Arora is his trusty sidekick.

Kartik Aaryan brings his A-game for Chandu Champion! His physical transformation for the role is commendable and he wins the audience with his sincere, committed portrayal. He brings a fine balance between the intensity, mischief and emotion needed for the part. Kartik’s dedication to the role shines through; he has surrendered himself to the process.
The awe-inspiring story of Murlikant Petkar is the real hero here – a life full of ups and down, but ultimately an indomitable spirit. The tale is utterly engrossing without a moment’s boredom – from the classic underdog arc, inspiring training montage, emotionally harrowing war scenes to perseverance in the face of despair.
Motivational tracks like Sarphira keep the energy high, while Satyanaas showcases the light-hearted side of the legend.

Vijay Raaz gives a masterful performance as the no-nonsense coach, Bhuvan Arora touches hearts in the limited screentime he gets and Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav infuse some much-needed hilarity in this drama.
