In an exclusive chat with Instant Bollywood, Sunita Ahuja opened up like never before. She spoke from the heart about her husband, Govinda, and the things that have kept him away from the big screen in recent years.

Her words were honest, emotional, and full of concern for the man who once ruled Bollywood with his charm, dance moves, and comic timing. Sunita did not hold back. She admitted that Govinda hasn’t been focusing on his fitness or working on new films. And she’s been telling him exactly that.

“Govinda’s not losing weight. He’s not doing movies. I tell him, you are such a legendary actor. There’s no one like you even today. You’re wasting your time because of the Yes-men around you. They aren’t teaching you good things. They teach you nonsense. Sit with good people, work well, take good directors. Today, the era of the 90s is gone… cinema has changed so much.”

Sunita clearly believes that the people surrounding Govinda are not doing him any favors. She said they are more interested in pleasing him than helping him grow. According to her, these people simply flatter him and keep him in a comfort zone because they get money from him.
“But the people around him won’t say this because they get money from Govinda. So, they’ll just keep flattering him.”

EXCLUSIVE: Govinda’s Wife Sunita Says Many People Tried To Sabotage Him
When asked why Govinda seems to have lost belief in himself, Sunita pointed to a deeper issue. She said there were times when no one gave him a chance to release his films. And there were people in the industry who tried to pull him down, even when he was at the top of his game.
“Somewhere in between, no one gave him a platform to release his films. There was a lot of jealousy against Govinda. When he was a top hero, many people tried to sabotage him. He didn’t get platform, theaters, he didn’t get good directors. So, he got bitter because of all this.”
It’s clear that Sunita has been a pillar of strength for Govinda. She sees his worth and still believes that he has what it takes to shine. But she’s also deeply disappointed that the people around him don’t push him to be his best.
Her message is simple. The love from fans is still there. The talent is still there. What’s needed is the right support, honest people, and the will to move forward.
