“Trust, childhood love, and of course, children. Trust is the most important thing. Whether it’s me trusting Govinda or him trusting me. Without trust, no relationship can survive,” she shared. “And love. I love like Shahrukh Khan in Darr, mad in love. I’m very possessive. I can’t share my husband or kids. When you truly love someone, possessiveness is natural. Otherwise, it’s not love, it’s just compromise.”

Growing up, Sunita’s father had warned her that marrying a film hero would not be easy. And he wasn’t wrong. When asked what kind of adjustments she had to make, Sunita admitted that being a hero’s wife is not a cakewalk.
“Being a hero’s wife, you need to have a heart of stone. You see heroes spending more time with heroines,” she explained. “During my delivery, Govinda was mostly shooting outdoors. I lived with my mother-in-law. You can’t travel with a newborn. But trust is essential, only then can the relationship last. If you start doubting, life will be ruined. How can you spend 30 to 40 years with someone then?”
She also shared how living with her mother-in-law for 13 years shaped her journey.
“She taught me many good things. And Govinda loved his mom so much, out of respect for her, he never even thought of doing anything wrong.”
