Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has made headlines as her former manager, Vedika Shetty, has been arrested by the Juhu Police in a ₹77 lakh fraud case.
This development follows nearly five months after Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan, lodged a complaint accusing Shetty of financial wrongdoing.
As per police reports, Vedika is accused of forging Alia Bhatt’s signatures and misappropriating funds over a span of two years. The alleged fraud involved unauthorised transactions totaling ₹77 lakh.
Shetty was located and apprehended in Bengaluru, after which she was presented before a Mumbai court. The investigation has been underway since an FIR was filed a few months ago based on Soni Razdan’s complaint.
Officials are currently examining financial documents to assess the complete scope of the fraud and to identify if any other individuals were connected to the case.
