EXCLUSIVE: Soha Ali Khan Reveals How Saif Ali Khan Became Her Go-To for Relationship Advice
Soha Ali Khan recently opened up in an exclusive chat with Instant Bollywood about the unique equation she shares with her brother, Saif Ali Khan. And as it turns out, their sibling journey has been anything but typical.

Growing up, Soha admits there wasn’t much of a connection between them.
“My brother and I, we’re nine years apart. And he was in boarding school in London. So we didn’t really have that connection growing up the way we do now.”

The age gap meant she couldn’t exactly run to him with little secrets, the way she did with her older sister. After all, what does a five-year-old have in common with a teenager? Or a 12-year-old with a 21-year-old? Not much, as Soha wryly points out.
But life has a funny way of bringing people closer when the time is right. Today, both in their 40s and 50s, the difference feels irrelevant.
“When you become 30 and 39, or 45 and 54, then it’s not that different anymore. You can have conversations. There’s a lot of overlap.”

And what do those conversations look like now? Surprisingly, a lot of them are about relationships.
“I really feel that he is special and unique. His take on things is very refreshing. I find that very helpful, especially relationship advice. Because I think he has significant experience when it comes to those things.”
Soha laughs that it’s especially useful when she and husband Kunal Kemmu are in the middle of a clash.
“Sometimes it’s hard to get that from your husband because you’re in that clash at the moment. When you get an objective, third-person male perspective, he is that voice for me. And that’s very invaluable.” Of course, she adds with a grin, “he is always sympathetic to husbands.”
From childhood distance to adult confidantes, Soha and Saif’s sibling story is one most families can surely relate to.
