Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s latest release Thamma is performing exceptionally well at the global box office.
Within just three days of release, the horror-comedy has minted an impressive ₹72 crore worldwide, cementing its place as one of the strongest openers in recent months.
The film opened on a high note on Diwali with collections of around ₹24 crore, maintaining steady momentum through the festive weekend. According to early trade estimates, Thamma has already outperformed films like Baaghi 4 and Maa, a remarkable feat for a mid-budget entertainer. Its growing popularity across multiplex audiences and younger viewers has contributed heavily to its success.
Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced under Maddock Films, Thamma is the latest addition to the studio’s well-loved Horror Comedy Universe, which includes hits like Stree, Bhediya, and Roohi. The story follows two betaals—supernatural beings brought to life by Ayushmann and Rashmika—who find themselves entangled in a hilarious yet emotional face-off with Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s menacing antagonist.
