New reports have shed light on how much the stars of De De Pyaar De 2, starring Ajay Devgn are earning — and the numbers are definitely making headlines.
According to multiple sources, Ajay Devgn, who reprises his role as Ashish in the sequel, has reportedly been paid a whopping ₹ 40 crore, making him the highest-paid actor on the film.
In contrast, Rakul Preet Singh, who returns as Ayesha, is said to be earning around ₹ 4.5 crore for her role. The gap between the lead pair’s paycheques (nearly ten-fold) has drawn attention, sparking discussion around pay disparities in Bollywood.
R. Madhavan, who plays Ayesha’s father in the movie, is reported to have negotiated a fee of ₹ 9 crore — significantly less than Devgn but higher than many other supporting cast members. Meanwhile, Jaaved Jaaferi has reportedly been paid between ₹ 2–3 crore, and Gautami Kapoor, who plays Ayesha’s mother, is said to receive ₹ 1 crore for her part.
These figures come from media reports, and though they haven’t been officially confirmed by the team behind De De Pyaar De 2, they offer a revealing look at how remuneration is structured in big-budget Bollywood sequels.
