Ikkis Day 1 Box Office Collection; A Modest Opening!
The New Year kicked off on a quietly patriotic note with Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan. Based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee who was martyred at just 21 during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the film chooses emotion over noise.
Ikkis Day 1 Box Office Collection; A Modest Opening!
At the box office, Ikkis opened to a respectable ₹7.28 crore on Day 1. Not massive, not disappointing either. More like a steady salute rather than fireworks. The film marks Agastya Nanda’s big-screen entry after the OTT projectThe Archies, and while expectations were cautious, the opening suggests audiences are at least curious.
Adding emotional weight is Dharmendra’s appearance as Arun Khetarpal’s father. This being his final on-screen role makes the film feel like a heartfelt goodbye to a legend who shaped generations of Hindi cinema.
The big question now is the weekend. With Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar still flexing hard at the box office, Ikkis will need strong word of mouth to march ahead.

Ikkis Storyline:
Ikkis brings to life the powerful true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, who was martyred at just 21 in the 1971 Battle of Basantar.
Set against the chaos of the 1971 Indo-Pak War, the film follows Arun (Agastya Nanda), a young officer sent straight from training to the battlefield.
Alongside the action, we get peeks into his world through his proud father (Dharmendra) and his love story with Kiran (Simar Bhatia). The most intriguing twist? Arun’s courage leaves such a mark that even a Pakistani brigadier (Jaideep Ahlawat) is left in awe, leading to a moving cross-border bond rooted in respect!
Our review: Ikkis is a quiet, sincere war film that values emotion over spectacle and restraint over noise.
